| Lionbridge Online Mapping Research Project Type: Part-time, Freelance Duration: 3 months Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX) is a leading provider of globalization and testing services. Based in Waltham, Mass., Lionbridge now maintains more than 50 solution centers in 25 countries and provides services under the Lionbridge and VeriTest brands. The team at Lionbridge with solution centres in 25 countries worldwide is recruiting part-time self-employed workers who are fluent speakers in English who are based in South Africa to join their Online Mapping Research team. Requirements: Proficiency in English is essential We are seeking people who have access to the internet and who are confident in using the internet Excellent knowledge of local geographical areas Experience/know-how of using online maps and generating driving directions For cultural, historical and geographical awareness purposes candidates must be resident in South Africa for the last year The goal of this project is to evaluate and improve online mapping software. Candidates will need to determine and rate the effectiveness of the mapping products and provide qualified feedback on the user experience The work will involve: - Using online maps to investigate geographic accuracy of queries - Grading the accuracy of online map results and locations - Determining if City, Province and Country results are geographically accurate for your region This project is initially expected to run for 3 months and requires 2-4 hours per week. An immediate start is required and full training materials will be provided.
