Event & Admin Coordinator SAWomEng is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, driven person to run the SAWomEng@network portfolio in 2011. Opportunity Type: Employment Opportunity Closing Date: 30 December 2010 Location: Cape Town, South Africa SAWomEng (South African Women in Engineering) is non-profit organisation focused on the personal, professional and technical development of women in the engineering and built environment sector. SAWomEng seeks to appoint a dynamic, self driven individual for the post of SAWomEng@network Events Coordinator for the newly launched division. The coordinator will report directly to the co-founders. Key Responsibilities will include: · Organise networking events across South Africa, including and not limited to: o Speakers o Venue and Catering o Selling tables and tickets for the events · Marketing the events · Acquiring sponsors for the events and the organisation · Managing all ticketing and queries · Managing the finances for the division · Recruit and train volunteers to assist on event days · Broadening the SAWomEng database · Being an SAWomEng Ambassador for the @network division · General Administration for the division and organisation Requirements: · Proficient with computers and Microsoft office software, email and internet · Excellent communication skills · Ability to work within budget and time constraints · A team player · Motivated and Initiative taker · Own car and drivers license · Respect for deadlines · Results orientated · Able to travel Nationally · Previous event planning experience an advantage · Knowledge of the engineering industry an advantage Salary: Negotiable (please indicate salary expectation on cover letter) Starting Date: 1 February 2010 (negotiable) Note: Only successful shortlisted candidates will be contacted |
