Hilltop Live was brought into existence from all the divisions of the erstwhile OppiKoppi Productions. The broad public was getting confused between the festival Oppikoppi, the production and events company and all the other businesses where OppiKoppi Productions was involved. Hence the new all embracing name for the business. OppiKoppi (the festival) started with one band in a bar in the bushveld, but these days Hilltop Live find itself playing an active role in all of the following businesses: * Events owner: festivals (OppiKoppi, Deurriemikke Karnaval and many more), music series, etc. * Promoter * Events production * Talent/artist buying and touring agency * Media and PR agency * Sponsorship division and strategy develop (especially around music) * Below the line agency * Artist booking agency (Southern Pulse) * Ticketing company (www.ticketbreak.co.za) * Big bar operators (Volume bars) * Rental division and technical consultant. In short : Hilltop Live is one of the biggest broad stroke live music players in Southern Africa with hundreds of thousands of audience members being touched by the company on an annual basis.
