Uconomy is a mobile application services provider dedicated to overcome the perpetual cycle of poverty found in the second economy of South Africa. Through employing cell phone technology we help people to create thriving local economies which in turn create local wealth and employment. We do this by empowering small and social enterprises which are active in marginalised communities with a unique service package accessible at low cost via cell phone. Our goal is to create a network of community economies across South Africa and thereby facilitate sustainable socio-economic development in areas where it is needed most.
