UNOPS helps its partners in the United Nations system meet the world’s needs for building peace, recovering from disaster, and creating sustainable development. UNOPS is known for its ability to implement complex projects in all types of environments around the globe. The UNOPS Africa regional office (AFO) provides management services for sustainable development ranging from tailored made services to clients to full-scale management of programmes and projects, especially in post conflict/early recovery contexts. Among the most commonly requested services are Project Management, Project supervision and Loan/Fund administration, and Procurement. The regional office provides advisory and support services to the AFO Operations Centres (Tunisia, Kenya, Senegal, DRC and Cote d’Ivoire) and ensures quality control and oversight of project implementation across the region.
