SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Senior Manager: Strategic Sourcing
(SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT)

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for processes to effectively close delivery of services and goods (GRN) and the administration thereof
• Allocate placement between sources of material and services.
• Analyze company budgets and develop procurement plans in conjunction with the various user departments
• Assist with the continuous improvement of all procurement processes
• Commercially evaluate proposals using total cost of ownerships techniques.
• Conduct supplier due diligence evaluations and continuously conduct research in terms of which suppliers have the requisite skills to participate in Outgrow’s RFPs.
• Control the total process flow of purchases across the organization and Monitor and Follow up on Purchase Orders (Chasing)
• Coordinate purchases within the framework of frame agreements including receive and evaluate quotations
• Ensure compliance to procurement policies and continuously improve and develop the procurement processes supporting the procurement policy
• Ensure that allocated work is being done correctly and timorously and at the same time on the job training of the staff takes place.
• Identify opportunities to formulate rate agreements for major material or service items.
• Manage all requests for proposals (RFP) to procure multiple telecommunications technologies.
• Manage effective relationships with suppliers and with other internal business segments.
• Monitor compliance to agreed terms and conditions of contracts.
• Negotiating contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLA) in terms of legal best practices
• Perform and maintain documentation with regards to procurement.
• Resolve purchase order, tender/contract differences with suppliers and creditors department.
• Review purchase requisitions and determine appropriate methods of Procurement.
• Supplier performance management

REQUIREMENTS:-
• have a post graduate Diploma or degree in Strategic Sourcing and/or business management
• Minimum 8 years experience within Telecom/Technology industries where incumbent was responsible for overall management of :
 Procurement; Commercial evaluations; Supplier contracts
 Supplier relationship management and Contract management
• Thorough understanding of the sourcing process and related tools;
• Thorough knowledge and working experience in:
• Contract drafting and finalization;
• Local and international laws of commerce;
• A wide overall covering experience in the field of Telecommunication disciplines. Ex: Multi-Channel carrier systems, Automatic telephone exchange and associated networks, cable, radio etc would be an advantage.
• Be a self-starter and self motivated to complete a project/task.
• Have general understanding of business and management concepts.
• Have ability to function independently, and under pressure.
• Be responsible & trust worthy
