Web Designer / Developer Terranova MDE is a small and busy marketing & design agency based in Randburg. We are currently looking for a Web Designer/Developer. (Yes, we require both disciplines – don’t contact us if you are only a Designer or only a Developer.) In this position, you will be required to come up with a complete concept that’s truly awesome, to the full production of the site. Our ideal candidate will be honest, trustworthy and hardworking - someone with an ability to a) interpret a brief, b) follow this through to an end result that the client raves about, and c) manage the time taken and client expectations of milestones. A lot of client interaction is expected, so you’ll need to be clean, presentable and willing to go the extra mile (and of course, own a car). Reporting into the Creative Director, you will play a key role in the Dynamic Media Unit at Terranova. A strong technical design experience, coupled with enthusiasm, creativity and a pleasant demeanor will secure you this position. Lastly, we do not tolerate prima donna’s, deceitful people or a ‘coast-to-coast’ attitude. Working at Terranova means dedication, team support and achieving common goals for the greater good. Essential Technical requirements: • HTML • PHP 4 and up • MySQL • JavaScript • Flash Action scripting • XML • CMS Systems (most notably Website Baker) • CSS • Knowledge of cross browser capabilities. • JQuery (Nice to have, but not essential) • Ajax (Nice to have, but not essential) Essential Software requirements: • Dreamweaver CS4 • Photoshop CS4 • Flash CS4 • Outlook 2003 - 2007 • Zilezilla (or appropriate FTP system) Software Nice to have: • CorelDraw 14 • PaperVision Personal Attributes/Traits: • Able to self manage and be self motivated • Good communication skills • Excellent graphic design skills • Pit-bull approach to problem solving • Organised with acute attention to detail • Ability to multi-task be results orientated • Able to plan work across projects effectively
