Customer Research Manager

To provide ongoing and/or adhoc research and information that drives business strategy and provides consumer insights into the business to assist with delivery according to the business goals and strategies

Responsibilities

•To provide category-leading insights into what drives the customer experience/loyalty/market and sales productivity
•To provide statistical investigations, data mining, consultation and commentary.
•To communicate information on the market, the customer and retail environment to the merchandise division
•To understand the research needs of the business and selecting the best research methods to produce that insight and to help the business turn insight into customer-focused plans
•To understand customer trends, behaviors and motivations using customer insight to work with the merchandise teams, creating compelling and value adding customer journeys
•To deliver compelling and actionable insight to inform strategic development at Brand, Category and Operational level, this will include leveraging the data provided by the customer database for insight.
•To provide monthly key consumer and competitor information that will allow the Merchandise Division to track their performance against objectives set
•To provide information and insight to merchandise management that will assist in driving strategy, tracking Company performance and assist in growing the share price.
•To provide consumer analysis that is utilised for advertising concepts
•To conduct a pharmacy health check to review current performance and identify any problems or opportunities available
•To build and retain relationships with market share and research providers to ensure that the information received is financially profitable
•To provide adhoc data information and consumer insights that facilitates business decisions


Requirements:

•B Com degree in Marketing / Retail Management / Economics
•Experience in data analysis and research
•Analytical & problem solving skills to access relevant information
•Excellent relationship building [suppliers, planning, marketing, distribution etc.] & networking skills
•Numerical skills - ability to work with numbers and perform calculations with great attention to detail
•Communication skills
•Organisational approach & skills - ability to plan and organise activities to meet deadlines
•Computer literate, Excel & Word proficient
