Production Manager Finishing For our facility in Nigel, Gauteng, South Africa we are currently searching for a Production Manager - Finishing to support the strategic objective of Seton SA by enhancing the organization’s performance to the benefit of its interested parties through the leather finishing process by planning, organizing, controlling and maintaining the effective utilization of all available resources. The essential duties and responsibilities for this position are: - Planning, organizing and controlling leather finishing production activities - Maintaining and controlling required certification and audit purposes - On time delivery of products by meeting customer specifications for quality and quantity - People management, motivation, mentoring and communication - Assisting the plant manager with financial and manpower budgets and controlling the departmental costs - Process improvement and performance management We offer a challenge with perspectives - and a competitive salary along with an excellent benefit program including medical and pension plans - and a positive company culture which focuses on people. The successful candidate possesses the following profile: - Post Matric qualification in Leather Manufacturing and Production Management - ISTT qualification (or equivalent) - 5 years experience in a Finishing Process environment (paint preparation, embossing, milling, colour matching, and finishing spraylines - 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment - 5 years experience in production control and first line production management - Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Standards, OEM Quality Standards, ISO 9001 and ISOTS 16949 - People management and strong leadership skills - High level of self-organization, ability to structure work and set priorities - Intercultural competency, flexibility in thinking and behavior, open mind and self awareness - Goal orientation, problem-solving ability, initiative, team ability, reliability, high commitment, persistence and power to assert - “we can” attitude We are looking forward to receiving your application preferable via email along with your salary expectations and your earliest possible starting. |
