ART DIRECTOR OVERVIEW OF COMPANY: Growing Cape Town company specializing in concepts and brand development with local and international clients. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Taking the lead in concepts, design, visual communication, multimedia and package design through creative thinking and outstanding design skills, producing award winning Creative work. • Accompany Directors to client briefings/meetings and in absence of Directors to represent company to determine, objectives, budget, background information and presentation approaches, styles and techniques • Strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and ability to lead small design team • DTP and finished art • Guarantee deadlines and quality • Continuous research of new market channels and to keep abreast of new trends and ideas • Ability to sell ideas internally as well as externally • Support of company vision and values • Be the link between designers team, account director and creative director SKILLS REQUIRED: • Strong communication skills Creative and conceptual thinker, able to get this across Structured, planning, prioritize • Ability to structure, prioritize and work within deadlines • Adaptability and flexibility • Excellent in Microsoft office • 100% skilled and experienced in Adobe CS programmes • Experience in similar company and position of at least 5 years PERSONALITY TRAITS: • Efficient and assertive • Well spoken and good writing skills • Creative thinker • Trustworthy and ambitious • Determined to grow career • Good business sense and ability to control and lead a team • Able to inspire and work well with team Only applicants with above skill, knowledge and abilities need apply.
