Legal Counsel Purpose: A position reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for legal affairs for a Global company and its international subsidiaries to ensure all operations and business activities are carried out in compliance with applicable laws. Provide advisory services to the Chief Operating Officer and other senior management of a Global company and its international subsidiaries and draft and/or review, provide legal oversight of and where required negotiate contracts for and on behalf of the Global company and its international subsidiaries. •Draft and/or review, provide legal oversight of and where required negotiate legal contracts with particular reference to the manufacture, sourcing, supplying, distribution and/or license of pharmaceutical products, all at international standards; •Review and analyse legislation and regulations affecting the Global player and its international subsidiaries and performing an oversight of compliance with the applicable legislation and regulations; •Advise on and manage legal risk; •Advise on and manage employment contracts and Service Level agreements; •Advise on and assist with dispute resolutions and other legal matters; •Undertake own research and conduct legal studies relating to the Global company and its international subsidiaries’ operations and business activities in multiple international locations. •Law Degree; •A minimum of 5 years (post articles) experience. Knowledge of and experience in cross border transactions will be a significant advantage; •In-depth knowledge and experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts; •Team player and business-minded lawyer who possess good common sense and sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; •Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English essential |
