Branch Manager-Interior Decor/Fabric/Wallpaper BRANCH MANAGER – DURBAN Industry: Interior design, Fabric and wall paper Salary R20,000 per month. Purpose of Position To manage the full function of the Durban Branch and to grow St Leger & Viney business in the Kwazulu Natal area. Customer Service • Ensures that the company’s customer service standards are adhered to by staff and sales consultants. • Liaises with Head Office regarding customer service queries where necessary. • Assists on a managerial level when intervention is required in order to resolve customer complaints. • Assists in the participation of customer service surveys and addresses shortcomings on the feedback received. Sales & Claims • Is responsible for growing the customer base in Kwazulu Natal, which entails networking, marketing, researching and customer contact in conjunction with Sales Consultants or independently. • Works closely with the Managing Director on projects / initiatives / campaigns / objectives to achieve business growth. • Acknowledges or declines claims made by customers and processes the claims according to company procedures. Showroom • Is responsible for ensuring that the Showroom’s appearance, atmosphere and customer service meet the company’s standards and brand. • Is responsible for ensuring adequate stock levels within the Showroom. • Is responsible for annual stock takes. Management • Is responsible for meeting Branch targets and budgets as set by the company. • Is responsible for planning, organising and controlling all resources in the Branch, which includes facilities, equipment, stock, finances and staff. • Is responsible for leading staff members, which includes Sales Consultants. This entails motivating, organising, training, setting performance standards / targets and managing performance as well as disciplining staff as necessary. • Ensures that self and staff are kept up to date with product and operational requirements. • Is responsible for the proper management of appro’s in the branch. • Liaises with the Head Office Debtors Department regarding outstanding payments for 30 day accounts. • Liaises with the Head Office Creditors Department regarding purchase order payments, petty cash reimbursements and stationery requests. • Attends meetings and conferences as required by the company, which may necessitate travel to other regions. Media • Is responsible for liaising with the media and positioning the company in the best possible light. This also entails liaison with the Marketing Manager and Managing Director. Functions • Co-ordinates company functions for the Branch according to Managing Director or company requirements, for example, launches Administration • Performs all administration required of the Branch Manager position. General • Performs any other functions implied within the scope and level of the position. Start date - January 2010 |
