Development Engineer

Responsible for the design and development of products, design activities of company products, managing projects and tasks assigned in accordance with APQP procedures, supporting production and manufacturing engineering activities within the company, supporting products and liaising with suppliers and customers, participating in the RFQ phase, establishing and maintaining engineering standards and documentation and co-ordinating and monitoring prototype build.

• B Tech / Higher Diploma or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
• 2 years related experience in product design and development
• Engineering involvement in the launch of a new product
• Proficient in 3D CAD package, Pro E, MS Project, Excel and MS Word
• Code 8 Drivers licence with driving experience, knowledge of handling and drive control
• Experience within the motor industry and knowledge of vehicle dynamics essential
• Working experience with Data Acquisition Systems equipment and strain gauging advantageous

• To work independently without supervision
• Work under stress and handle difficult customers
• Handle multi-tasks simultaneously
• Liaise effectively in English
• Good business understanding.
