Senior Project Manager As a senior project manager, you will be responsible for the success of the complete project, from needs assessment to the delivery of the solution. You will manage the planning and execution of the project, communicate with and manage the customer, build the project team and develop the budget and timeline estimates. You will be responsible for managing large, multi-phase projects and providing high-level technical audits, planning, recommendations, and project management with the focus being on achieving the customer's business case. This role will suit those who enjoy working in a dynamic, diverse environment, with a focus on delivery and results. Role: •Ensure the scope of the project(s) is clearly identified, documented and controlled and that the impact in any shift in scope is made clear in terms of affects on time, cost, and risk. •Overall responsibility for specific defined deliverables within the project. •Responsible for early identification and escalation of key risks and issues to the project team. •Ensure all project reports, metrics and billing information are submitted to the standard and deadlines required by the Project Control office. •Responsible for drafting and ensuring accuracy of client focused reports •Responsible for ensuring that all phases of the project are clearly documented and a project repository is maintained. •Facilitate internal and client facing project workshops steering meetings. •Collaborate with the project team and business development manager/account manager to ensure the customer's and FINEOS’ interests are best served at all levels. .Plan, organize and ensure high standard post go- live support to Customers. •Responsible for the day to day management of project team. Requirements: •Relevant Computer Science/ Project Management tertiary qualification / degree •Experience of working in a vendor environment on client sites is essential. •Experience working in a project management environment within the software industry. •Practice of Government IT Projects an advantage •Knowledge & understanding of the financial services (banking and insurance) industry a distinct advantage. •Strong knowledge of Project Management best practice methodologies such as PRINCE2. •Proven strong commitment to satisfying Customer’s and FINEOS’ Business Objectives, keen to influence, shape and drive Project Implementations. •Proven leadership skills and an ability to come across as an authority figure. •Strong analytical skills, logical and structured in approach. •Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English both verbal and written. •Ability to travel if required •South African work authorization FINEOS is an equal opportunities employer
