Assistant Consultant Financial Services company in Cape Town has an excellent career growth opportunity for a black professional within their Consulting Division who meets the following criteria – • In possession of a BCom (Economics/Econometrics, Insurance etc)/BSc Actuarial Science degree • CFP Advantageous • Must be FAIS accredited • Own transport and drivers license essential • Willingness to work overtime (may be required to meet deadlines) • South African citizen • 6-12 months Employee Benefits Consulting / Financial Services Consulting experience advantageous • Self starter / Self motivated / ambitious • Deadline driven / Good time management skills • Ability to handle pressure • Good attention to detail • Confidence in communicating with team members and internal/external clients • Strong sense of responsibility / Team player • Excellent PC skills – full MS Office • Problem solving ability Although this position is client service orientated it is also very administrative. The main purpose of this position is to assist the more senior consultant in managing a portfolio of employee benefit clients’ funds. This includes extensive liaison with trustees, members and internal departments, administrative tasks related to Trustee Meetings as well as the effective management of the client fund portfolio. Salary offered is between R10K – R14K per month cost to company and is dependent on the individuals overall job fit. The company is an Employment Equity Employer and only South African candidates will be considered. Candidates will undergo assessments and verification checks.
