Financial Manager A leading Engineering company is looking for an experienced Financial Manager with extensive experience with Costing in a Manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must have a completed CIMA with at least 5 years experience in Costing of which the last 3 was in a Managerial position. The Financial Manager must maintain and improve the financial controls to safeguard the assets of the company and improve profitability. These controls include but not limited to, stock management, expenditure control, analysis and reporting. The Financial Manager must supervise, guide and monitor subordinates within the Financial and Admin Department and ensure that the internal control environment meets with the Group standards. Min Requirements: CIMA 5 years costing experience in a manufacturing environment 3 years management experience Self motivated individual Leadership and people skills Prepared to work outside normal working hours where necessary Knowledge of excel, word, power point and any accounting package (Embrace system will be an added advantage) Some of the duties will include: 1) Financial • Reviews the monthly management accounts • Reviews the monthly general ledger recons • Prepares the monthly profit flash • Prepares monthly reports • Assist the Financial Executive with the preparation of the Annual Budget and Forecasts • Assist the Financial Executive with the preparation of all major tenders and customer quotations • Assist with the preparation of financial year end accounting and tax packs • Manage Fixed Assets • Reconciliation of monthly royalties • Prepares and submits governmental statistical returns 2) Logistics • Responsible for preparing the documents required for imports and exports including co-ordination of all shipping arrangements. • Responsible for collecting all shipping documents required for secondary export rebate • Controls the reconciliation of dispatched goods to invoices 3) Costing • Updating of product costs • Updating of recovery rates • Analysis of budgeted recoveries to actual • Analysis of variances to Production Plan • Preparation of daily KPI’s • Analysis of Purchase Price variances • Perform monthly material usage variances • Preparation of monthly stock journal • Updating standard costs on an annual and ad hoc basis and ensure accurate stock valuation 4) Stock Control • Overall responsibility for inventory: Stock counts Stock reconciliation Necessary adjustments Ensure accurate bin locations Cycle counts Variance analysis • Ensure accuracy of stock at all times 5) General • Oversee the functions of the subordinates listed above • Manage and Control of internal IT • Assist and perform internal audit function as required • Assist the Financial Executive where necessary • Perform any other duty within the scope of the job function For more information please contact Nickel on 012 665 2005.
