Senior Buyer (Men's Fashion) NOTE THAT THIS POSITION IS NOT A PROCUREMENT POSITION. IT REQUIRES A BUYER FOR MEN'S FASHION WITH PREVIOUS EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE. A SOLID KNOWLEDGE OF TRENDS, TEXTILES, FASHION HOUSES AND THE LIKE IS A PRE-REQUISITE. 1. Key Performance Areas of this position 1. Staff 2. Stock control 3. Production 4. Buying 5. Admin functions 3. Job Specifications: a) Formal Qualifications i) School grade/standard Matric / Grade 12 b) Job specific skills required Computer literate Own transport c) Inherent requirements of the position (if any): Solid, traceable experience with regards to Buying within the Retail sector, involving men’s fashion Bilingual Numerate and Accurate Initiative Good communication skills IR experience 4. Specific Job Responsibilities and Duties Staff Record and update staff attendance records for salary and wages weekly and monthly Provide training and coaching Implement IR measures if needed Admin • Ensure that department reports are updated and adjusted weekly • Ensure all filing and paperwork is in order and maintained • Assist with queries from stores Buying • Responsible for Buying from a-z for this National Retailer, in accordance with all guidelines and company policies. |
