Project Manager/Site Manager A Vacancy exits for a Project Manager/Site Manager in the Cape Town region, with the following attributes: • Good Knowledge of the NEC Contract • Knowledge/experience of the management of Scaffolding activities (need not be a scaffolder) • Knowledge of /experience of the management of Insulation activities (need not be an insulator) • Good interpersonal skills. • Able to work under pressure (during defined periods of the year). • Willing to work long hours (during defined periods of the year). Education: Grade 12 Minimum qualification The following educational qualifications would be an advantage (but not a pre-requisite - the right amount and type of experience in this industry would also suffice): • Civil Tech would be an advantage • Mech Tech would be an advantage • An Engineering degree of any type • A degree or diploma in project Management Further to the above, it would be VERY helpful (but not an absolute requirement) if the person conformed to the following as well: • Previously disadvantaged person. • Good language skills in English, Afrikaans and Xhosa • Willing to be employed on a short-term (5-Month) contract, with the possibility (Client Contract dependent) of a 3yr to 5yr permanent contract. • Own Transport. • Prior experience on a Power Station. The successful candidate would ideally be a current Cape Town area resident (although in the extreme case, we will consider relocation); the successful candidate will start by Mid March 2011 at the very latest - the ideal candidate would be able to start IMMEDIATELY!!
