FMCG Business Development Manager This Business Development Manager position in Cape Town requires someone with 5 years sales experience, within the Hospitality Sector. Our client is a leading frozen dough and confectionery manufacturer, who distributes country-wide and is expanding rapidly. Due to the high level of consistent performance, drive and professionalism required within this role we will only consider those candidates who meet with all the below minimum requirements for an interview. Minimum Requirements: •Matric and relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration and/or Marketing •Tertiary education in Cost Accounting and/or Management Accounting is preferable •Experience in the sales and provision of food products into the hospitality sector •A self-starter with a track record and experience in setting up successful business opportunities in the hospitality sector •Strong leadership and negotiation skills •Pay attention to detail •Strong query resolution skills •Good personal interaction skills •Strong telephonic personality •Computer literate in Excel and Power Point •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Manage time effectively and be process driven •Valid drivers licence and own vehicle Key Performance Areas: •Carry out market research on business opportunities to grow sales off company products in the hospitality industry, e.g. hotels, restaurants, guesthouses, caterers, ship chandlers etc. •Develop a hospitality industry sales strategy to meet agreed profitability targets. •Plan daily visits to customers to arrange promotions, training, presentations and demonstrations. •Checks and advises customers on the suitability and operation of baking equipment. •Ensure sufficient stock of products to meet sales targets by facilitating the placing of orders. •Liaise with the distribution department to ensure that products are delivered. •Follow up on outstanding hospitality sector debtors and ensure collection of outstanding payments. •Submit a weekly report on the achievement of sales targets. •Maintain industry awareness and share knowledge with partners In Return our Client Offers: •Permanent employment opportunity within a rapidly expanding company •TCTC dependent on experience, skills and qualifications (inclusive of basic, car allowance, provident fund contribution) •Supportive and dynamic management |
