Sales Consultant - Wholesale Logistics

Development of new business opportunities and retaining profitable ongoing trade will be the main focus area of the Wholesale Logistics Sales Consultant position; the ideal & most suited candidate will be presented with an opportunity to manage this position from home and report directly into the Head Office in Johannesburg.

This position will therefore ideally suit an individual who is able self manage and be disciplined in their work ethic and time management.
Our client is a specialist international wholesaler to Courier/Logistics/Transportation and Distribution Companies.

Through their comprehensive network into the African Continent they are able to offer their clients a complete “peace of mind” and cost effective service offering from source to destination.


The minimum requirements and considerations will entail the following

3 – 5 years proven track record of sales experience in New Business and Retention
Previous sales experience within the logistics/courier /transport industry will be of a major advantage
Strong operational/geographical knowledge of International procedures into Africa will be advantageous
Knowledge of various International Products/Services such as International Express, Cross Border RoadFreight , Airfreight & Ocean Freight will be advantageous
Previous sales training /relevant sales/marketing/business qualifications
Ability to present and negotiate on all levels of Decision Making
Strong relationship builder with exceptional interpersonal skills
Innovative and Creative within overall sales approach
Fully Bilingual in Afrikaans & English (written& verbal)
Professional and well presented
Own transport & valid Drivers Licence

Key performance areas will include

Development of New Business Opportunities through various prospecting methods
Presentation of services/product offering on decision making level
Follow through in all client interaction areas to essentially maximise revenue growth
Target marketing and ongoing research
Manage and retain self gained clients to ensure consistent profitable trade
Ensure strong communication and relations between agents, internal network, partners and clients with regard to service level requirements and monitoring thereof
Ensure timeous payment
Achieve relevant monthly service/product targets
Report directly into the Johannesburg office
