IS Manager Role: OPU/ ROPU Head of Information Systems (IS) Business Partnering (BP) Basic Purpose of the role: To align IS and business strategy to enhance value for all businesses and functions. This role should: • Drive the Harmonization and Integration of the application landscape for the business functions, • Execute Demand and Relationship Management, Business Consultancy and Program/ Project Management • Be accountable for all IS Services, the Face of IS to Business Partners. The role should also be an integral part of, and bridge to, the Global Business Partnering organizations and to provide an effective and timely two-way communication channel between all stakeholders. This role will take direct ownership for business partnering/business consulting for one or more significant business areas in the local market (e.g. PM or Enabling Functions, etc.). Key Functions of the role: Account and Relationship Management The awareness to: • Remain customer/business focused • Ensure appropriate delivery from the SD&D organisation Demand Management Focusing on the ability to: • Anticipate and prioritise site specific business demand as part of the overall framework for managing all global business demands and business plans • Determine the suitability and feasibility of a given solution • Determine the resourcing and funding required to fulfil a business demand Management and Administration Offering leadership in: • Effective Resource Management • Effective administration of all IS professionals • Contribution and participation into Global Controlling and Budgeting Model processes (Including the Planning and Reporting Cycles) • The professional development of staff Consulting Focusing on the ability and leadership to: • Provide advice, assistance, and guidance in any area associated with the planning, management, or effective use of information systems and services. • Bring novel thinking to the business partners to address stated and unstated needs around furthering our business. Innovation Transform the business through innovation by: • Enabling new/changing business models through IS based innovations • Design new, improved ways of working (either by creating new business processes or dramatically improving existing processes) • Support the overall Global Innovation Management initiative and associated processes Project/Program Management Focusing on the ability and leadership to: • Manage overall interrelated projects ("programs") from inception through delivery of a solution in collaboration with the delivery organization. • Ensure that projects and overall programs are aligned with business strategies, and positively contribute to the organization's overall performance Key Tasks of the role: The Head of IS Business Partnering should be involved in business planning activities in order to: • Identify, capture and prioritise business demands together with the relevant business partner(s). • Build and maintain an appropriate level of acceptance and customer intimacy in order to ensure a continuous and integral involvement in all IS related decisions in the business. • Ensure business awareness of SLAs and the IS Service Catalogue and participation in any sourcing or delivery discussions. The Head of IS Business Partnering is responsible for the following: • Analyse global plans, solutions and applications (through the IS Service Catalogue and other means) and identify site specific opportunities and/or relevancy. This should be in the context of bridging these activities between the site and the global business. • Directly manage any and all site specific Business Partners, Information Protection Officers and Portfolio/Program Management Offices. • Offer administrative support to the members of the site specific SD&D organisation.
