Test Technician, Pretoria Test Technician, Pretoria Remuneration: Based on current earnings plus significant adjustment and company benefits. Qualifications & Experience: • Must have a post-matric Diploma or Degree in computers or electronics/Computer Software related qualifications such as a formal certificate in software testing - ISEB Foundation Certificate (an advantage). • Experience in custom software testing and using an automated test tool will be a definite advantage. • South African Citizenship is a key requirement for this position. • Currently residing in the Pretoria area. Personal attributes and skills required: • Must be bilingual (English and Afrikaans). Spanish, German and French will be an advantage. • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. • Required to work overtime from time to time during project deadlines. • Must be able to work in a disciplined environment. • Have a good working knowledge of computers. Responsibilities: • Generate test cases with inputs from developers. • Liaison with developers to assist in the reproduction of defects. • Enter test case scenarios into our requirements management tool software. • Execute tests in a repeatable manner for verification when software component changes are made. • Generate defect reports using our bug tracking software. • Perform black box and white box testing. • Perform regression testing. • Measure test case progress. • Perform integration testing. • Perform system load testing. • Installation of systems when required. • Perform acceptance tests when required. • International Exposure at clients foreseen.
