Freight Manager, Spare Parts Our client is a leading global Telecommunications and networking systems integrator looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join them in Johannesburg to be part of their regional Service Supply Chain Group. This position will report to the EMEA Solutions Team Manager in London. This highly visible position will be critical to the improvement of the Eastern emerging markets in service delivery. The position will lead cross-functional efforts from a service delivery point of view to ensure inbound/outbound shipments to/from customers are managed. improvement to both the processes, and quality of information, that drive service delivery performance. The candidate must demonstrate strong freight management experience including customs clearance and fiscal knowledge. The candidate must have a results-oriented track record in project management and/or process improvement, while driving results across matrix organizations. Highly customer focused professional with a strong service mindset. Job Description – Key Result Areas • Managing the shipping process of order fulfilment and reverse logistics. • Ensuring customs clearance and fiscal processes are well established and understood as well as improved further • Developing further understanding of the current contract booking processes and inputs that impact service delivery performance. • Identifying the impact to supply chain operations and delivery performance from the current processes. • Developing a comprehensive plan with multiple tracks to improve these processes and inputs from a service supply chain perspective. • Identifying and collaborating with key stakeholders to gain buy in and support to execute against developed plan. • Building cross-functional teams and/or developing service supply chain resources as needed to drive the agreed upon transition plan. • Managing as a project and driving the execution of the plan to completion. • Ensuring service delivery is improved as a result of this execution. Skills and Requirements • Minimum University degree in Logistics. • Minimum of 8-10 years experience in a supply chain management and/or vendor management role. • Freight Management experience is key. • Must demonstrate leadership • The candidate should demonstrate a track record of developing creative processes and programs to achieve results. • Analytic processes and business case preparation. • Relationship management experience. • Program management experience • Flexible problem solver of diverse scope and complexity. • Ability to work independently. • Strong teamwork and partnership skills a must. • Strong communication skills. |
