Research Programme Manager - Information Technologies & Telecommunications The unique opportunity Due to continuing company success, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious research professional to manage and strategically develop the Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Research Programme within Frost & Sullivan. The ICT practice is dedicated to partnering with leading industry players within the enterprise communications, conferencing & collaboration, mobile & wireless, IT applications and network security business communities, providing strategic market research and bespoke consulting solutions. The Research Programme Manager is responsible for driving the production of intellectual capital, research content and custom project fulfilment, whilst providing management/leadership support to a team of market focused Research Analysts. The role places particular emphasis on conducting detailed primary, secondary and tailored qualitative/quantitative research within the ICT sector, with elements of direct client interaction with a business development focus. Key Responsibilities: • Managing the delivery of market specific research content and confidential bespoke project fulfilment in accordance to strict deadlines. • Strategically develop and expand the programme sector, increasing research content and achieving team revenue generation objectives. • Manage the team of Research Analysts, providing support, mentoring and expert advice. • Direct client interaction, demonstrating expert industry knowledge and develop strong business partnerships. • Project management of global client projects. • Promoting the Programme sector via a variety of trade sources including articles, press releases and presentations. • Provide internal support and advice to other functions (Sales & Consulting) within the ICT practice. Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience: The successful candidate will be a senior level research professional with a thorough understanding of strategic market research methodologies (primary and secondary), with proven success in direct client interaction and custom research project fulfilment. A pro-active, methodical and innovative working practice is essential, with a proven ability of delivering accurate results in a fast paced, sales focused environment. An inspirational leadership style and management experience would be desirable but not essential. Essential: • Previous senior level market research experience within a client focused Market Research Consultancy environment. • A strong understanding of B2B market research / consulting methodologies, ideally within the Information, Communication and/or Technology sectors. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and an ability to forge strong working relationships. • High level of business acumen with the ability to interpret/analysis data and present key findings at a senior level. • Strong project and virtual team management skills. • A degree level education or equivalent. Desirable: • Market research team management experience. • Post graduate qualification (MA or MBA) in a related field. • A second European language.
