SGB Manager

• The SGB Manager in the MQA will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
• Managing the design, registration and revision of curriculum, qualifications, unit standards, Learnerships, Skills Progrmmes (SPs) and the development of learning materials.
• Manage the establishment and performance of working groups for qualifications and learning programmes design
• Manage liaison with QCTO, DHET, MHSC, DMR and other relevant bodies ito policy development and implementation related to qualifications
• Manage liaison with cross sectoral qualification, develop partners inclusive of ECSA and external quality assessment partners
• Manage the upload and maintenance of qualifications, learning programmes and materials and MIS business rules
• Manage occupational profiling to determine OFO is relevant to the occupation
• Ensure qualifications framework aligned to OFO code
• Mange and develop a group of qualified Occupational Development Facilitators on the procurement database
• Managing the progress of quality control of Qualifications associated Unit Standards, Learnerships, SPs
• Actively building relations with SAQA and relevant SAQA authorities to ensure efficiency in gazetting and registration processes
• Managing “out of scope” qualifications design
• Contributing to regulatory formulation and implementation
• Managing and supporting the MQA`s input in terms of the practicing person footprint
• Participating in and providing advice on regulations design
• Managing Discretionary Funds
• Manage the development of learning materials
• Managing the provision and control of the comprehensive administrative system to comply with ISO procedures
• Establishing and maintaining business networks and in the process, balance the diverse interest of stakeholders in a fair and equitable manner
• Facilitating ongoing stakeholders participation to keep them informed and allow them to influence the policies and procedures of the MQA (meeting, workshops, forums, task teams)
• Managing service delivery of the business unit so that effective services are provided according to the required performance standards
• Identify international trends and world class practices in skills development and how these impact on the business unit
• Ensuring effective internal and external communication so that employees and the public are made aware of the MQA`s policies, plans commitments and performance with regard to ETQA
• Managing the business unit`s budget
• Managing the business unit`s performance
