Legal Advisor The Business Development division in Cape Town, currently has a vacancy for a Legal Advisor, who will be responsible and accountable for resolving legal matters of a commercial nature pertaining to the business, negotiating, drafting and vetting contract, as well as providing legal support & advice on day to day issues. JOB OUTPUTS: Negotiate, draft and vet contracts. Provide legal advice on day to day issues. Liaise with external consultants. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Experienced in drafting various Telecoms & IT-related agreements. Good working knowledge of general domestic law. Methodical approach, coupled with excellent drafting skills. Ability to understand commercial imperatives behind the deal, so as to structure the deal in the most beneficial manner. Ability to assess the risk in each transaction. Experienced in commercial law issues & knowledge of ICT & telecoms law advantageous. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: BCom LLB or similar relevant degree. Admitted attorney. 5 years post-admission experience in commercial law & drafting of contracts at top tier Law Firm. Experience in telecoms and ICT law advantageous.
