Professional Conference Coordinators Leading Hotel Group is looking for the highly experienced Conference Organisers to take charge of their conferences, conventions and other events. The candidates should have excellent sales skills to attract new business at all times. R30000 – R17000 per month The ideal candidate will be responsible for • research, write, plan and run all aspects of conferences and conventions on behalf of a client or their own organisation • agree a budget with the client / senior managers • arrange to provide any equipment required • book a suitable venue in hotels, universities or commercial conference centres • organise accommodation and catering • arrange for interpreting and secretarial services to be provided • arrange pre-conference press receptions • contact and brief speakers • post-event activities, such as producing press releases, distributing further documents to delegates, and analysing feedback from speakers and delegates. Requirements • Experience in Professional Conference and Sales Position • 5 years experience in such a position • Excellent Client Conference Network • communication and negotiation skills • attention to detail • sales skills • diplomacy • ability to work under pressure • willingness to work unsociable hours • excellent organisational skills • Language skills are often beneficial.
