Database Administrator Our client's business is focussed on two core audience segments – Publishers and Marketers, and we are looking to add another top performer to our stable. Responsibilities: management of all databases setup, maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning of databases establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security considering both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users further refining the physical design to meet system storage requirements maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection requirements controlling access permissions and privileges developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures capacity planning communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security writing database documentation Requirements: IT Diploma in Data Manage or equivalent. Microsoft Certification in Database Development (MCTS) Good working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 and 2008 in terms of o Relational database design © 2010 acceleration. All rights reserved. 2 o Performance tuning o Stored procedures o Setup (small to large enterprises), failover, performance o Maintenance, monitoring At least 2 - 3 years of DBA experience Visual Studio Environment / C#.Net – Data layer classes.
