Market Research Analyst – Investment Promotion Wesgro is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer This is a one year contractual position subject to the successful candidate signing a performance agreement. A three month probation period is applicable. Purpose of the Job: The Market Research Analyst is principally responsible for interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon the research findings. The appointee will successfully work with Investment Promotion Managers to understand, define and document the overarching investment proposal for potential investors. The Market Research Analyst applies qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and produce substantiated recommendations. Market Research Analysts frequently present the findings and recommendations to the Investment Promotion Managers. Requirements: • An appropriate tertiary qualification in Business sciences, Mathematics or related sciences. A minimum of 3 to 5 years within the custom Market Research industry. 2 to 3 years of middle management industry/sector experience. • Investment promotion issues and related policies/incentives are advantageous. Knowledge on International economy and Business in the Western Cape is advantageous. A valid Code B driver’s license and passport. Key Competencies: The appointee will have strong proven research abilities, analytic and critical thinking skills, exceptional written oral, and presentation / communication abilities, strong excel, and powerpoint, an understanding of project management. Problem solving skills. . The ideal candidates should be delivery-driven, behave with integrity and produce work of exceptional quality. Duties: Duties will include inter alia: • Communicating with Investment Promotion Managers to understand and write customised market/commercial reports for their clients • Knowledge of local, national and international Foreign Direct Investment “FDI” trends • Providing a research support function to encourage the smooth flow of Investment Promotion. • In depth understanding of multiple industries is advantageous • Knowledge of PFMA is advantageous • BEE Knowledge |
