Senior PHP Developer SENIOR PFP DEVELOPER – CAPE TOWN ENVIRONMENT: This Cape Town based leading new media and mobile agency is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join their team. DUTIES: 1. Report to the Development Director and CTO. 2. Building of PHP / MySQL based applications both front and back-end. 3. Maintenance of core PHP-based applications on the commercial platforms. 4. Support of applications and environment on new and legacy applications REQUIREMENTS: 1. MVC experience a significant advantage. CAKEPHP an even larger advantage 2. Minimum 4 years PHP Development 3. C/Java/QT Experience a major advantage 4. SQL databases. MySQL required. 5. Apache. 6. Significant experience developing client / server, n-Tier and web applications. 7. Able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of Object Oriented development methodologies and UML. 8. Excellent technical documentation skills. 9. Proficiency with Linux. 10. A very good understanding of databases is required. 11. Experience with the following technologies will be to your advantage: SOAP, XML / RPC, WAP, MMS, SMS. 12. 3-6 years experience PHP Development. 13. Diploma in Information Technology, BTech (IT) or Computer Science Degree a significant advantage. ATTRIBUTES: 1. Enthusiastic and communicative team member with a positive attitude. 2.
