Logistics Transport Manager

Your previous experience in National Transport Management may compliment our client’s unique requirements in the exciting role of Logistics Transport Manager, based at our clients operation in Century City.

Are you looking to combine your expertise, knowledge and skills to compliment our client’s expectations?

This newly formed start up company specialises within a unique market sector when it comes to the distribution of commodities across Southern Africa.


Minimum requirements will entail

Matric/equivalent Senior Certificate
Relevant distribution/logistics qualification will be advantageous
4 – 5 years direct practical experience gained within the transport/logistics industry (National Road Freight & Refrigerated Cargo); performing within a similar role
Strong administration , planning, coordination and organisational skills
Operate at best productivity levels under pressure
Be accountable and able to take ownership of allocated KPA’s
Must have strong Analytical / Financial skills
Fully Bilingual; Afrikaans & English (strong written / verbal skills)
Fully Computer Literate
Must be flexible and adaptable with regard to working hour requirements
Own transport & Valid Drivers license

Key Performance Areas will entail but not be limited to the following

Actively plan all short & long – haul outsourced distribution within relevant national regions
Manage optimal cost efficiencies and service level agreements time frames with outsourced distribution partners
Source, build and retain long term relations with service providers
Manage all Proof of Delivery and Customer Claims Management processes
Manage complete reconciliation process of transporter/s accounts
Ensure consistent and transparent communication to clients with regard to al distribution status and updates
Manage and adhere to all internal/external standard operating procedures / SLA’s
Report directly to the General Manager and present consistent feedback, initiatives and updates
