ETL Developer My client based in the Northern suburbs is looking for a Developer: ETL and Data Storage An opportunity exists to work in the Business Intelligence Department based in Cape Town for a Developer: ETL and Data Storage Processes responsible for ongoing implementation, delivery and maintenance of various data warehouse ETL requirements. Duties & Responsibilities • Establishment of data marts through ETL processes according to technical specifications • Establish and exercise best practice ETL implementation standards which include data assessment, data cleansing, test cases compilation, post ETL data checking • Maintenance and enhancement of Data Warehouse components • Timeous delivery of projects • Documentation of processes Qualifications and Experience • Tertiary degree or diploma in IT, IS or Informatics is required • At least 3 years working experience in a BI or MIS environment populating / maintaining data storage environments. • Knowledge of data systems, data structures and data models • Knowledge of data quality issues and design of data cleansing processes • Excellent experience in working with ETL software • Experience of integrating data from many disparate complex systems • Experience of creating and maintaining ETL processes • Excellent SQL or PL/SQL skills • Experience of the ISP/Internet/Telecommunications industry will be advantageous • Experience of building Cognos frameworks will be advantageous • Understanding of Oracle 10 warehousing technology will be an advantageous • Ability to work in a team environment • Logical thinker with strong problem solving skills • Thoroughness and attention to detail • Delivery focused • Positive attitude Only South African citizens to apply for the above position
