Location: Brackenfell Minimum Requirements QUALIFICATION - BSc (Computer Science or Information Systems), or - BCom Information Systems, or - Post-graduate certification / qualification in Quality Management and/or Risk and Security Management and/or Business Continuity Management (e.g. CISSP) - CSQA EXPERIENCE 2 - 4 years relevant experience as a Quality Manager KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of accepted software and Quality Assurance principles, methodologies and best practices Knowledge of production localisation Wide knowledge of ICT practice and applications Knowledge of the principles and practice of quality management Good understanding of all stages of systems development, from specification to implementation SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills Interpersonal skills Good organisational and people management skills Job Specification PURPOSE To manage teams of software quality analysts and testers, working on all stages of structured software testing, (functional, integration, usability, regression and configuration), within a structured and rigorous test regime. OUTCOMES - Applications that function according to requirement specifications - Applications that are error-free in accordance with agreed standards TASKS - Create and implement testing policies, procedures and standards - Analyse and develop test standards and procedures for software development and maintenance - Determine appropriate test strategies - Plan, control and manage assigned test and verification projects including coordinating and communication between QA and other business and development teams to ensure consistent understanding - Create and manage implementation plans and product pilots - Track progress against plans - Predict potential risks and identify work required to minimize any impact - Provide timely communication to the test team, third party partners, and other teams - Plan and deliver processes to meet the project requirements, including defect management, monitoring and reporting - Provide Management Information Reports and statistics as required - Predict staffing needs to ensure all requirements are identified and the team is appropriately sized - Recruit, manage, train and evaluate the performance of the QA personnel - Establish metrics in order to improve the project team efficiency - Monitor, supervise and motivate staff assigned to the projects and ensuring work is completed in a timely manner and to required quality specifications BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES - Analysing - Presenting and communicating information - Persuading and influencing - Deciding and initiating action - Delivering results and meeting customer expectations - Adhering to principles and values - Learning and researching Interested applicants are invited to send their word format cv and how you feel you match this job spec or call 0832707944 for more information.
