Junior Software Programmer (Visual Basic) Responsibilities: - Work with programming team on the planning and development of a new system. - Create, test and maintain code on the new system whilst also being responsible for maintaining the current system. - Manage day to day queries from staff with regards to both systems. Recommended experience The applicant should have 1 to 2 years experience with: - Visual Basic 6 programming. - Microsoft Server 2008 and all Windows operating systems from XP onwards. - SQL Server database. Experience with the following is also desirable but not required: - Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Exchange Server - Networking, TCP/IP protocol The applicant should also have the following attributes: - be able to work as part of a team or alone when required. - Be prepared to work extra hours outside of business hours when needed. - Prefer a fast-paced working environment. - Enjoy maintaining/enhancing code to meet changing business needs.
