Veterinarian (Regional), Rustenburg, R40k pm neg. Veterinarian (Regional), Rustenburg, R40k pm neg. Closing date 17 November 2010. A big local company in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry is looking for a Regional Veterinarian at their factory / offices in Rustenburg. This position is based in a plant/ processing environment with strict food safety requirements. Requirements - Recognised degree in Veterinary Science. - Must be registered as Veterinarian with SA Veterinary Council. - Minimum of 2 years poultry experience would be advantageous. - Computer literate with Microsoft with reference to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint - Well developed interpersonal & communication skills (verbal & written). - Strong planning and organising skills. - Ability to work independently and use initiative. - Attentive to detail and accuracy. - High levels of honesty & integrity (must retain confidences, be discrete and diplomatic). - Able to function as part of a team. - Flexible and adaptable, willing to work after hours when necessary. - Must be prepared to travel. Key Responsibilities: - Compile and implement poultry health plan including vaccination, deworming, sanitation, and feed medication programs. - Supervise health status all broiler and breeder birds. - Diagnose diseases and implement prophylactic procedures. - Drive Animal Welfare program. - Compile and control budgets. - Provide the following training to farms personnel (bio security, vaccination and medication procedures, sample collection procedures) - Coordination of exports on the duties Offer Please note that correspondence will be entered into with short-listed candidates only.
