Closing date Friday 29 October 2010 Introduction An international company in the defence industry are looking to employ an Executive Manager in their Quality Department. The primary purpose of the role is to manage the Company’s Quality function that demonstrates the ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements. You will establish and implement measurements to assess and improve customer satisfaction. Requirements: • B. Eng (Electronic / Mechanical); Diploma in Quality Management (eg: City & Guilds of London Institute, or American Society of Quality Controllers (ASQC)). • 15 years experience, including product design, assembly and general management. • Experience of optical, mechanical and electronic design and electro-optical products. • Good functional understanding of ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and Quality Management principles. • ISO 9001:2008 or equivalent training course would be advantageous. • ISO 14001:2004 equivalent training course would be advantageous. Responsibilities • You will establish and maintain a Quality Management System catering for all the Company’s business processes and ensure that processes support the Company’s value chain and comply with corporate quality and prescribed international quality standards. • You will guide Executive Management in the assessment of business health from a quality and business optimization and risk management point of view. • You will identify and initiate corrective and improvement actions accordingly. • You will act as a member of Executive Management team and participate in the overall company management. • You will provide a product Regulatory Affairs function to ensure all appropriate legal requirements are addressed and potential risk abatement plans are implemented.
