Learning & Development Purpose of the job To establish, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across various business units, in order to identify learning and development needs, and to deliver against these needs in an effective and efficient manner. Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring that all staff are adequately skilled in line with strategic initiatives in each of the business units Relationship Management • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across specified business areas in particular the business managers • Work closely with the Head of Learning & Development to deliver world-class learning and development solutions • Build and maintain relationships with colleagues within Learning & Development and Human Resources • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Group Learning & Development. • Build relationships with relevant learning bodies (Bankseta, BASA, IOB, FSB) Training Solutions • Proactively gain an understanding of learning and development needs across specified business areas, suggest and provide solutions to meet these needs, and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the solutions. • Design and develop learning programmes • Evaluate learning programmes • Keep current a range of learning and development solutions, as well as market these in a timeous and effective manner. • Effective management and monitoring of FAIS Fit and Proper Requirements • Update and keep current all training records on SAP. • Monitor and control course / event scheduling and attendance for cost effectiveness. • Analyze and prepare data statistical information. • Liaise and be familiar with Group & Learning and Development colleagues for links into processes and procedures where needed. Vendor Management • Liaise with internal and external suppliers regarding course content, design, logistics, invoicing and materials. • Service Level Agreement Management including price negotiation and payment Presenting Induction • Assist in the creation, coordination, facilitation, and support of all activities associated with induction, course / event administration, and delivery (including scheduling, advertising, supplier and contract management, material production, evaluation, cancellation and waitlist management) Competencies • Technical Knowledge • Business Skills • Personal & Interpersonal Skills • Control Environment • Commercial Effectiveness Knowledge and skills • Relevant skills development legislation • In-depth knowledge of learning design principles • Knowledge of relevant learning evaluation models and techniques • FAIS Fit and Proper requirements • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. • Project Management • Knowledge of the HR value chain • Investment banking and or Wealth/Corporate experience • Learning and development roles and responsibilities • Systems and processes • Report writing • Learning material design and development • Evaluation of learning programmes • Facilitation Skills • Consulting skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Presentation skills • Negotiation skills Experience • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a HR environment • Preferably in Learning and Development function • Experience in working in FAIS affected industries • Experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of learning programmes • Experience in learning programme facilitation Education • Tertiary • Relevant 3 year Bachelors degree • Relevant training/learning and development qualification |
