Design and Stress Aircraft Engineers - GERMANY STRESS and DESIGN ENGINEERS (m/w) HAMBURG, BREMEN, Northern GERMANY GECI supports Airbus Germany in the definition, introduction and utilization of the new Airbus Concurrent Engineering processes, methods and tools. For this, the modern CAD system, CATIA V5, in conjunction with CATIA V4, had been introduced for Design on the programs A380 and A400M and A350. NASTRAN/PATRAN for analysis work is an essential part of the work performed by the Stress Engineer. DESIGN ENGINEER Your work will be the analysis and definition of CAD process chain and completion of modes of operation and methods. In addition you are responsible for the philosophy and definition of fields of application for CAD tools as well as for the design and the philosophy of software solutions. The specification and the monitoring of software development may also fall in your functions. We require you to be a graduated engineer in aerospace technology, or aircraft construction or mechanical engineering, or vehicle engineering (ship-, space-, automotive-, high speed railway-engineering), or materials technology. Very good knowledge in the area of CATIA V4 and/or V5 is required, with working experience in this area. In addition you should have knowledge of a PDM system (VPM, Windchill or one or other PDM system) and you should speak good English. STRESS ENGINEER We require you to be a graduated engineer in aerospace technology, or aircraft construction or mechanical engineering, or vehicle engineering (ship-, space-, automotive-, high speed railway-engineering), or materials technology. • F.E.A: Static and Fatigue (Durability Criterion, Residual Strength, Damage Tolerance) Analysis • Support for Weight saving and design improvements, including GLARE skin • Analysis of concession requests • FE modelling • Perform postbuckling analysis • NASTRAN/PATRAN used to manage the global FEM model • Certification Reports Very good knowledge in the area of NASTRAN/PATRAN is required, with working experience in this area. In addition you should speak good English. GECI offers starting salaries and conditions commensurate with the salaries paid in Northern Germany by the major companies. • Modern high-tech working environment close to the Airbus locations in Hamburg or Bremen • 12 monthly salaries – performance based reviews and bonuses • 25 days vacation and all Public Holidays for Northern Germany • 40 hours working week Mondays – Fridays • Maximum 50 hours paid per week – shift working in extreme cases are possible in our offices As a first pre-screening, interviews will be conducted telephonically.
