Courier Portfolio Manager

An experienced Courier Portfolio Manager position has become available at our client’s Johannesburg Branch.

This independently owned Logistics & Express Courier Company works exclusively in the interest of their clients and they strive to provide a world class service in a professional, accurate, prompt and courteous manner.

Only those candidate who meet with all the below minimum requirements of this position will be considered for a pre-interview.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric with MS Office knowledge and experience
• Minimum of 3 years working experience within a customer service or sales focussed role
• Courier Industry experience is a non negotiable
• Exposure to Courier Systems, Products and Procedures
• Exceptional geographical knowledge of the Gauteng Region
• Impeccable time management skills
• Accurate and attentive to detail
• Interpersonal skills and able to liaise confidently at any level
• Able to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
• Accountable and able to work within a team
• Professional and well presented at all times
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
• Willing to work after hours and over weekends if and when required

Key Performance Areas:

• Maintain existing client base and build customer loyalty through impeccable and efficient service delivery
• Drive revenue growth through selling and promoting product and services and ensure targets are met
• Liaise with customers regarding quotations, bookings, collections, shipment-on-hold collections, etc. and keep customer informed of progress made or delays
• Attend to walk in customers and assist with dispatching or hand over of their shipments
• Manage complaints and queries in a professional manner
• Assist other departments as per need and as per requirements of the business
• Assist the Operational Manager to ensure smooth running of station
• Implement ISO , Company standards policies and procedures throughout the branch
• Ensure accurate reporting of services and product sales for billing purposes and keep updated and detailed records
