Technical Support (IT) Technical Support Job Title : Consultant: Technical Support Department : Information Solutions Reports To : Operations Manager PURPOSE OF JOB To provide systems support to all users as required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Process Management  Pre-Sales presentations and client consultations  Assists staff with the correct implementation and utilisation of system.  Installs new and updates systems and project manages system installations, as and when required.  Investigates and resolves systems related operational problems.  Trains internal and external users on the correct utilisation of the solution.  Provides telephonic support to external users.  Resolves data related queries with the aid of IT development staff.  Reports to the Operations Manager on support calls completed.  Defines and details system enhancements to developers when identified. People Management  Ensures that staff is trained, skilled and that their expertise is optimally applied.  Ensures that the working environment contributes to improve staff morale and increase productivity. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE:  Grade 12.  Minimum 3 years experience in systems support.  Knowledge of SQL database administration.  Valid driver’s license and own vehicle. Remuneration: Basic salary + medical aid + pension + 150 litres petrol per month for business usage + R 350.00 per month for cell phone usage Disclaimer: Please note: a)Only Short-Listed applicants will be contacted.
